Delivery & Returns Policy

Postage & Packaging - UK Deliveries

Postage is charged at a standard rate of £5.95 per order. Goods sent via Royal Mail or Parcel Force. Our website software automatically states a URL or delivery progress will be issued. With certain delivery options this is not possible.

ANY GOODS SENT WITHOUT FULL INSURANCE AS REQUESTED BY THE CUSTOMER ARE AT THE CUSTOMERS OWN RISK. SHOULD THEY BE DAMAGED OR LOST IN TRANSIT SHERWOOD MODELS WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IN ANY WAY

Title to the goods transfers at the time of purchase. It is therfore the responsibility of the buyer/customer to ensure adequate insurance cover is provided - see above. If additional insurance cover is cancelled at the point of sale, the goods will be sent at the customers own risk as we assume standard cover of £20.00 is required regardless of order value.

We cannot be held responsible for any delay howsoever caused in the delivery of goods to the cusomer once they have been accepted by our carrier.

Postage & Packaging - Overseas Deliveries

Please note payment using this websites secure facility via PayPal Checkout or PayPal is intended for UK based customers using Sterling only. We do however supply most of the items shown on this website overseas with payment via your card or we will supply a PayPal invoice. Export orders require postage calculating according to weight and size. You may also be entitled to a VAT free export (Non EU nations only). Please contact us with your requirements.

Shortages, Damaged/Faulty Goods & Returns Policy

Any shortage or item found to be damaged or faulty should be reported to Sherwood Models within seven days of receipt in writing. Please follow any specific instruction(s) given when contacting ourselves. Do not return goods unless you are specifically requested to do so. A returns number will be issued if required by Sherwood Models. Goods will only be accepted for return with this number. If you are in receipt of damaged/faulty/missing goods, please follow these basic instructions:

  1. Make a note of the date and time upon which your damaged/fault goods were received. If the damage is evident after examination upon receipt, immediately inform the carrier and endorse any delivery note (if applicable) as 'Damaged parcel, contents not checked for damage or shortages'.
  2. Note the carriers name and badge number if applicable.
  3. Note the delivery method i.e. Royal Mail, Parcel Force or the name of the carrier if not Royal Mail or Parcel Force.
  4. Retain all packaging as this may be required by the carrier for any claim made against them.


Any item returned as faulty will be subject to examination before the company decides on a course of action. We reserve the right to repair, replace or make a refund for damaged or faulty goods; or return them to the manufacturer/distributor for examination.

Items returned for any reason other than a genuine fault or damage will incur a 25% restocking fee. Postage and packaging is not refundable. These goods will only be accepted if they are returned in merchantable condition with a return number at the discretion of Sherwood Models.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
